Binance TH has outlined a regional transition plan for the rebranding of Toncoin to Gram, including the removal of existing TON spot trading pairs and a 1:1 token swap for users holding the asset on the platform.
According to the Binance TH timeline, the exchange plans to stop trading and remove TON/USDT, TON/USDC, TON/FDUSD, TON/TRY and TON/IDR on June 30, 2026. TON deposits and withdrawals are also scheduled to be suspended shortly afterward, with the notice indicating that remaining TON deposits after the cutoff will not be credited as support shifts to the GRAM ticker.

Binance TH Confirms Swap Mechanics, Global Timing Still Unclear
Under the regional plan, TON balances held on Binance will be converted into GRAM at a 1:1 ratio. Pending spot orders are expected to be automatically canceled as part of the delisting process, while users holding TON on the platform are not required to manage the technical swap manually.
The same regional schedule says new GRAM trading pairs, including GRAM/USDT and GRAM/USDC, are expected to open on July 2, 2026, after the exchange completes the required technical work.
On-chain updates tied to the rebrand are expected as early as June 15, 2026, ahead of the regional centralized-exchange migration planned for June 30.
Community Rebrand Revives Original Gram Identity
The rebrand follows a community-led initiative to restore the project’s original Gram branding. The TON blockchain’s official social media presence was also described as signaling the change through messaging welcoming the Gram identity.
The move points back to the project’s earlier history. The blockchain was originally developed as the Telegram Open Network by Nikolai and Pavel Durov, and the native asset was initially intended to be called Gram before regulatory challenges contributed to the later Toncoin branding under the TON Foundation.
Community governance results indicated that more than 80% of participating users supported reverting to the Gram name.
Ecosystem developers have described the rebrand as cosmetic in nature, but the exchange migration still requires coordination across liquidity venues. Binance TH has issued a regional timeline for the swap, while any broader implementation across other Binance entities or third-party platforms depends on their own announcements and technical schedules.
For holders using decentralized platforms or other exchanges, transition timing may vary. Some protocols are reportedly conducting independent votes on whether to delist the old TON ticker and integrate GRAM, meaning the market-wide migration may proceed unevenly across venues.
