BNB Chain Extends Zero-Fee Stablecoin Transfers Through October

BNB Chain has extended its 0-Fee Carnival through October 31, continuing to subsidize selected transfers involving USDC, USD1 and U across participating wallets, exchanges and bridges. According to the official BNB Chain announcement, the campaign will remain active until October 31 at 23:59 UTC, covering qualifying withdrawal, wallet-transfer and bridging routes rather than every stablecoin transaction across the ecosystem.

The program spans BNB Smart Chain and, more selectively, opBNB. Participating exchanges include Binance, Bitget, MEXC, Ourbit, BingX, LBank and HTX, although supported assets, networks and minimum withdrawal amounts differ by platform. Direct wallet-to-wallet transfers under the promotion are limited to BSC, with USD1 and U receiving unlimited eligible transfers and USDC capped at two free transfers per day through supported wallets.

Zero-Fee Coverage Depends on the Transaction Route

Eligible wallet transfers require a minimum value of $0.10 and are available through providers including Binance Wallet, Trust Wallet, SafePal, TokenPocket, Coin98 and imToken. The subsidy removes gas from qualifying transfers without making BSC itself universally gasless, since other token transfers and smart-contract interactions continue to operate under the network’s normal fee mechanism.

Cross-chain coverage is similarly route-specific. Celer cBridge offers zero-fee USDC transfers from Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, Avalanche and Optimism into BSC, while Meson.fi provides rebates for supported USDC transfers from those networks and Tron. The campaign therefore subsidizes defined bridging paths rather than eliminating cross-chain fees protocol-wide.

BNB Chain says the broader campaign has covered more than $4.5 million in user fees since launch. That figure represents cumulative subsidies reported by BNB Chain, not stablecoin transaction volume or protocol revenue. The initiative sits alongside a wider expansion of the network’s stablecoin infrastructure, including a sovereign stablecoin framework developed with Sign for jurisdictions seeking public-blockchain settlement while retaining control over issuance and reserves.

The current program also differs from protocol-level gasless designs deployed elsewhere. Sui, for example, has introduced native zero-fee stablecoin transfers for a constrained class of transactions without requiring a sponsor to reimburse the network charge. BNB Chain’s 0-Fee Carnival instead relies on participating platforms and sponsored routes, making eligibility dependent on the asset, wallet, exchange or bridge being used.

Small Stablecoin Transfers Dominate Transaction Counts

A joint Q3 study from BNB Chain and Mercuryo provides additional context for the fee campaign. The research found that 77.4% of stablecoin transfers on BNB Chain during the quarter were worth less than $100, while transfers of $10,000 or more accounted for 66.2% of total value moved. The two figures show that small transactions dominate transfer counts even as larger transfers carry most of the monetary value.

The same research placed the median network fee for a stablecoin transfer at $0.0068 during Q3. That median reflects ordinary network costs and excludes separate fees for purchasing, selling or converting stablecoins, so it should not be interpreted as the cost of every stablecoin transaction or as a measure of savings produced specifically by the 0-Fee Carnival.

BNB Chain has also continued reducing settlement latency through upgrades such as the Fermi hard fork on BNB Smart Chain. Lower base-layer costs and sponsored transfers address different parts of the payment experience: one changes underlying network economics and performance, while the other temporarily removes fees from selected user-facing routes.

The October extension therefore broadens the period during which eligible users can move USDC, USD1 and U without paying covered fees, but zero-fee access remains conditional rather than a network-wide property. USDT, FDUSD and other stablecoins are not listed among the assets covered by the current campaign, while the existing promotion expires at 23:59 UTC on October 31 unless BNB Chain announces another extension.
