Solana recorded its busiest day to date in August 2026, processing 216 million non-vote transactions as network activity accelerated across payments, trading and tokenized assets. The network also reached a weekly record of 1.32 billion non-vote transactions between August 17 and 23, highlighting sustained throughput rather than a single isolated spike.
According to the Solana Foundation’s official August ecosystem roundup, target slot times also fell twice during the month, reaching 300 milliseconds on August 28. Solana combined record transaction activity with a 25% reduction in target slot time over eight days, strengthening the network’s focus on faster execution.
Solana RWA Value Crosses $4 Billion
Real-world assets represented another major area of growth. Solana’s RWA value surpassed $4 billion during August, distributed across more than 350,000 holding addresses. The milestone covers tokenized funds, equities, private credit, commodities and other real-world assets issued across the network.
Tokenized equities also expanded substantially. xStocks surpassed $500 million in assets under management by month-end, while weekly tokenized-equity supply reached a record $465 million. Raydium also crossed $4 billion in cumulative tokenized-stock trading volume, showing that growth extended beyond issuance into secondary-market activity.
Institutional products added further depth to the sector. Securitize and Neuberger Berman launched the HINC tokenized high-income fund on Solana, while Shinhan Asset Management began work on a Korean won-denominated tokenized fund proof of concept. These initiatives broadened Solana’s RWA footprint beyond tokenized stocks into fixed income and regulated fund infrastructure.
Payments and Trading Activity Expand
Payments infrastructure also developed during August. Western Union launched a Visa card backed by its Solana-issued USDPT stablecoin, while MoneyGram introduced an API connecting Solana applications with its global cash network. The integrations expanded the connection between Solana-based digital assets and conventional consumer payment infrastructure.
Decentralized trading remained another major source of activity, with Solana memecoins recording $5.2 billion in weekly spot volume, the highest weekly figure of 2026. That $5.2 billion metric refers to memecoin trading volume, not monthly non-vote transaction count, an important distinction when interpreting the network’s August statistics.
Solana entered September with record transaction throughput, faster target slots and more than $4 billion in tokenized real-world assets. The next test is whether those activity levels can remain durable as payments, tokenization and other applications continue scaling, rather than relying on short-lived bursts in individual market segments.
