TRON Stablecoin Supply Adds $256.5M in Seven Days

Neon holographic TRON network hub with USDT-driven stablecoin surge, glowing data streams and a futuristic blockchain city.

TRON recorded a $256.5 million increase in stablecoin market capitalization over the seven days ending November 3, the largest gain among blockchains tracked by Token Terminal during that window. The increase pushed TRON’s stablecoin base further above $94 billion, reinforcing the network’s concentration around dollar-denominated assets. Arc ranked second for the period with a $120.2 million increase, followed by Tempo at $56.3 million.

TRON DAO highlighted the Token Terminal data as part of its latest stablecoin update. The figure represents a seven-day snapshot rather than a permanent growth rate: subsequent market-cap readings have already moved as stablecoins are issued, redeemed or transferred across networks. The $256.5 million increase therefore describes the week ending November 3, not TRON’s current seven-day change.

USDT Dominates TRON Stablecoin Supply

Tether’s USDT continues to account for almost all stablecoin value tracked on TRON. DeFiLlama placed USDT dominance at approximately 97.9% around the reporting period, illustrating how heavily the network’s stablecoin profile depends on a single issuer. TRON’s stablecoin expansion remains overwhelmingly a USDT story rather than broad-based growth across multiple dollar tokens.

Different data providers currently produce different USDT supply readings. TRONSCAN reports more than $94 billion of USDT on TRON, while DeFiLlama’s chain-level methodology produces a lower figure. Those datasets should not be combined to calculate market share or supply growth because their classifications and snapshots differ. The more defensible comparison is to keep each provider’s historical series internally consistent.

The weekly increase extends a longer expansion visible during the third quarter. In its official summary of Token Terminal’s Q3 report, TRON DAO said stablecoin supply averaged $92.25 billion, up 4.18% quarter over quarter and 14.58% year over year, before reaching $93.88 billion at quarter-end. The Q3 trend established a higher stablecoin base before the latest seven-day increase was recorded.

That progression is also visible over longer windows. TRON had already added roughly $4.8 billion in stablecoins over a 90-day period, while previous record readings showed USDT becoming increasingly dominant on the network. Stablecoin supply measures assets circulating on the chain, however, and should not be interpreted as equivalent growth in DeFi deposits or new capital entering TRON.

Q3 Transfers Reached $2.18 Trillion

Token Terminal’s Q3 figures show that stablecoins were not simply sitting on TRON. The network processed $2.18 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume during the quarter, up 4.17% from Q2, while stablecoin holders reached a reported record of 76.53 million. That holder metric reflects on-chain accounts or addresses rather than 76.53 million verified individual people.

The transfer figure also differs slightly from another Q3 dataset that placed settlement at approximately $2.21 trillion, as previously detailed in TRON’s quarterly stablecoin activity. The discrepancy reflects separate datasets and methodologies and should not be resolved by blending the two estimates. Both nevertheless place quarterly stablecoin transfers above $2 trillion.

Broader network statistics have continued rising alongside that activity. TRONSCAN currently records more than 412 million cumulative accounts and over 16 billion lifetime transactions. Its dashboard also reports approximately $26 billion under its TVL metric, while DeFiLlama places DeFi TVL closer to $5 billion. Cumulative accounts, stablecoin supply, transfer volume and DeFi TVL measure different aspects of network activity and are not interchangeable indicators of adoption.

TRON’s payment infrastructure increasingly reflects that stablecoin specialization. Its GasFree system allows supported stablecoin transfers without separately holding TRX for fees, adding another payment-specific layer around USDT usage. The latest supply data reinforces TRON’s scale as a stablecoin settlement network, but also highlights its unusually high dependence on USDT, leaving changes in Tether issuance on TRON capable of materially influencing the network’s headline stablecoin metrics.
