KuCoin Lists RITUAL and NAORIS Spot Pairs

KuCoin has added RITUAL and NAORIS to its spot market, giving the two Layer 1 projects separate USDT-denominated trading pairs across consecutive days. According to KuCoin’s official RITUAL listing announcement, RITUAL/USDT began trading at 10:00 UTC on October 28 after a one-hour call auction, with deposits supported directly through Ritual Mainnet and withdrawals scheduled to open October 29 at 10:00 UTC.

NaoX Protocol’s NAORIS token arrived one day earlier. KuCoin’s official NAORIS listing notice shows that NAORIS/USDT opened at 10:00 UTC on October 27, with withdrawals following on October 28. Unlike RITUAL, however, KuCoin currently specifies Ethereum ERC-20 as the supported deposit network for NAORIS, meaning the exchange listing does not itself represent native connectivity to NaoX Mainnet.

Two Mainnet Projects With Different Architectures

Ritual launched its mainnet on October 26 as an EVM-compatible Layer 1 designed around AI-specific infrastructure. The network provides protocol-accessible services for inference, autonomous agents, external data, scheduling and privacy-oriented computation. KuCoin’s support for Ritual Mainnet therefore connects its listing directly to the project’s newly launched production network, rather than limiting deposits to a wrapped representation on another blockchain.

Ritual enters a growing field of networks building infrastructure for autonomous software. Other approaches include Hedera’s policy-controlled Agent Accounts and Sui’s infrastructure for agentic commerce. Those systems differ materially in architecture and should not be treated as evidence that autonomous-agent blockchain usage has already reached broad adoption. Ritual’s listing primarily expands access to its native asset following mainnet launch.

NaoX focuses on a different infrastructure problem. Formerly known as Naoris Protocol, the project rebranded in July while retaining the NAORIS token and its underlying network. NaoX says every native transaction uses ML-DSA-87, the NIST-standardized FIPS 204 signature scheme at security level 5, alongside EVM compatibility and a validator model built around post-quantum credentials. Mainnet has been live since April, with access expanding through phased validator and partner onboarding.

The project’s earlier testnet recorded more than 106 million transactions and 3.35 million wallets, according to its own statistics. Those figures are project-reported testnet activity rather than equivalent counts of mainnet users or economically meaningful transactions. The broader post-quantum trend is also developing elsewhere, with Sui recently executing an ML-DSA transaction on devnet and Algorand already running Falcon-based accounts in production.

Exchange Access Does Not Establish Adoption

Both listings increase centralized-market access but provide limited evidence about underlying network demand. KuCoin has also launched promotional campaigns allocating 2.3 million RITUAL and 1.583 million NAORIS to eligible users. Listing incentives can contribute to initial trading volume, making early turnover an imperfect measure of organic demand for either protocol.

The clearest distinction is operational. RITUAL is being deposited through its newly launched native network, while NAORIS reaches KuCoin through an ERC-20 route despite NaoX operating its own Layer 1. Sustained liquidity, native-network deposits, developer activity and production usage will provide more informative measures of how exchange availability translates into adoption after the initial listing period.
