Aptos Fees Stay Near $5K as Network Activity Expands

Aptos is generating roughly $5,000 in daily transaction fees while maintaining sub-cent execution costs, illustrating the economics of a network processing high transaction counts at very low per-transaction prices. According to the official Aptos supply dashboard, its latest published daily snapshot recorded approximately $5.01K in transaction fees from about 10 million transactions. All transaction fees on Aptos are burned, meaning the activity removes APT from supply rather than generating operating income for the Aptos Foundation.

Third-party data shows a similar scale but demonstrates why these figures need timestamps. CoinGecko currently reports approximately $4,714 in 24-hour fees and labels the same amount as protocol revenue, while Token Terminal records $108.9K across the latest 30 days. Differences between daily snapshots reflect changing network activity and data windows rather than a contradiction in the underlying fee model. CoinGecko’s current 24-hour APT trading volume is also around $85.6 million, above the earlier $73.5 million observation.

Low Fees Accompany High Transaction Throughput

Aptos’ official dashboard places the average transaction fee near $0.0005, while Token Terminal reports a median transaction fee of approximately $0.00032 and a 39-millisecond median block time. Those metrics show that the network can process activity cheaply and quickly, but low fees also mean large transaction counts do not necessarily translate into high protocol fee generation. Token Terminal recorded 411.2 million transactions over its latest 30-day window.

User activity presents a similar distinction. Token Terminal currently tracks approximately 731,800 monthly active addresses, compared with about 187,700 weekly active addresses and a latest daily reading near 27,900. Monthly active addresses measure unique transaction senders over a rolling period and should not be treated as 731,800 simultaneous or daily users. Aptos had already demonstrated higher execution activity earlier in the year, including its 389.36 million successful-user-transaction month in July.

Application activity is contributing materially to that workload. Decibel has crossed $7 billion in cumulative trading volume, with more than $1 billion routed through third-party applications using its Builder Codes infrastructure. That $7 billion measures gross executed trading volume rather than liquidity deposited or capital newly entering Aptos, and repeated trading can cause cumulative turnover to grow substantially faster than TVL.

Stablecoins and Confidential APT Expand the Financial Layer

Token Terminal currently tracks approximately $935.9 million in stablecoins on Aptos, including roughly $606.5 million of USDT and $329.3 million of USDC. The earlier $366 million USDC figure was a point-in-time milestone and should not be presented as the current circulating balance. Stablecoin supply can decline or expand as assets are minted, redeemed or moved across supported networks.

The network has simultaneously expanded its native asset functionality through Confidential APT on mainnet. The opt-in system encrypts APT balances and transfer amounts while leaving addresses visible, using cryptographic proofs so validators can confirm transaction validity without seeing the protected values. Confidential APT adds financial confidentiality without turning ordinary Aptos transactions private by default or concealing the transaction graph.

The next useful benchmark is whether high transaction throughput translates into broader fee generation, active-user retention and sustained application activity. Aptos currently combines very low transaction costs with hundreds of millions of monthly transactions, but fees, users, trading volume and stablecoin supply remain separate indicators and should be tracked independently rather than combined into a single measure of adoption.
