BNB, ADA and SHIB Show Relative Strength Amid Altcoin Market Decline

Neon BNB, ADA, and SHIB logos glow with rising price lines over a dark, futuristic altcoin market scene.

BNB, Cardano and Shiba Inu are showing pockets of near-term resilience, but the broader altcoin market remains in a declining structure. TradingView’s TOTAL3ES index, which excludes Bitcoin, Ether and stablecoins, was up 1.32% over one day while remaining down 0.75% for the week, 2.31% for the month, 21.84% over six months and 30.24% year to date. The split shows that a short rebound has not yet reversed the wider contraction.

The three assets are also producing mixed signals rather than a uniform breakout. BNB traded near $592, ADA near $0.19 and SHIB around $0.0000049, while TradingView’s daily technical summaries rated each pair as a buy. Their one-week and one-month readings remained sell signals, meaning the apparent strength is confined to shorter timeframes.

Short-Term Support Does Not Reverse the Larger Trend

BNB has displayed the clearest relative stability of the group. The token traded closer to the upper end of its intraday range and recorded a smaller daily decline than ADA or SHIB in the reviewed snapshot. That performance shows comparatively stronger demand without confirming a new uptrend.

ADA’s setup is less decisive. The token remained near $0.19 after declining during the preceding 24 hours, leaving it below the psychologically important $0.20 area. Its daily buy rating points to improving short-term momentum, but the weekly and monthly sell readings show that Cardano has not escaped the larger bearish structure.

SHIB presents a similar conflict. The token held near $0.0000049 despite renewed exchange-inflow concerns, but its price remained close to resistance rather than clearly above it. CoinMarketCap’s market tracker cited approximately 226 billion SHIB returning to exchanges on August 2. Transfers to trading venues increase potential sell-side supply but do not prove that holders have sold.

SHIB Concentration Adds a Separate Risk

Holder concentration creates an additional variable for SHIB. Etherscan reports that whale wallets represent approximately 0.05% of holders, with a Gini distribution score of 0.9957 and seven addresses each holding at least 1% of the supply. Raw address concentration does not necessarily represent individual whale ownership, because major addresses can belong to exchanges, custodians or burn mechanisms.

The current technical picture is therefore narrower than a broad altcoin recovery. BNB, ADA and SHIB have maintained daily buy signals while longer-term indicators remain bearish, and the market excluding Bitcoin, Ether and stablecoins is still substantially lower over six-month and year-to-date periods. Continued relative strength will require higher highs and sustained support, not another temporary rebound.
